Since May 13, 1932, The Mighty Melodic Bloody-Up Upsilon Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated has set the measure of excellence for what it means to be an Omega Man at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. For more than nine decades, Upsilon Psi has produced brothers who embody manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift — not as distant ideals, but as a living standard etched into the very culture of FAMU and the Rattler spirit.

2. FAMU’s Anchor in Crisis: Brother Dr. Henry Manning Efferson, not only brought Omega to FAMU, but also stabilized the university through the storm as Acting President in 1949 during one of its most turbulent times,
